It was time for a change…

Plus, one of my favorite pastimes is coming up with projects for my dad and I to tackle together! My favorite part of the whole transformation is the fact that I sold all the old furniture, bought all the new furniture and had money left over! I obviously kept my cream leather set, luckily it’s versatile and will work with a lot of different styles. We painted 3 walls white and an accent wall navy. Next, we started working on the built-ins. We used Ikea’s Billy Bookcases, incased them and added library lights to the top. The side table I got from a thrift store for $10. Stripped it, painted it and added new hardware. The entry table I got from my favorite store Homegoods in the damaged section. Fixed it, painted it kelly green and added new hardware. The coffee table I also got from Ikea, painted it and added a marble shelf liner to the bottom shelf. I seriously love everything about this room! It’s so bright and fun, I truly enjoy spending time in there!

I honor of “Back to the Future” day I figured I needed to post Grant’s birthday party pictures! Back to the Future was one of my favorite movies growing up and I’ve shared the love of it with my children! Now, my kids are as big of fans as I am!!

We decided being 2015, Back to the Future would be a great theme for his party!

This is the front and back of his invite. And Yes we found a wonderful guy that let us do a photo shoot with his DeLorean! It was AWESOME!
